Hi! I’m Emma.

I’m so glad that you’re here!

I love meeting people and hearing their stories – I think that’s the psychologist in me! People have such interesting lives, and I feel extremely privileged to be someone that they would choose to share their memories and experiences with. It’s not just about the big things either, I think it’s the little things that matter the most and make up the rich tapestry of our lives. I aim to listen fully to my clients and work with them to deliver a memorable, meaningful and personal ceremony.

I became a Humanist UK Celebrant because Humanism helps define how I feel about life and being a Celebrant helps me to live the life I want for myself and my family.

Key Values

Kindness

Gratitude

Tolerance

Two random things about me – I love elephants! For me, they symbolise the characteristics that I most admire and aspire to – they are highly sensitive and caring animals with complex emotions, feelings, compassion and self-awareness. They have strong family bonds and the mum works hard to look after their young.

The other thing is I love Japan and hope to visit there some day. When I was thinking about where I wanted my career to go, I turned to the westernised version of ikigai which says you have found your dream career when it includes four qualities; what you love, what you are good at, what you can be paid for and what the world needs.

For me, being a Humanist Celebrant ticks all those boxes!
